Croydon Adult Community Occupational Therapy Service
The Adult Community Occupational Therapy service is seeking Occupational Therapy Assistants to support people with long term conditions and older people living in Croydon. As an occupational therapy assistant you will manage a caseload of clients, visiting people at home to carry out an assessment and make recommendations that aim to make day to day life easier. You will have induction and training for the role and participate in regular supervision. You need to have previous experience and knowledge of working within an Adult Social care or Community Health care setting.
You will join the Occupational Therapy team and will work within intake and duty, or alongside integrated multi-disciplinary locality teams, or support clients needing major adaptations. You will be working directly with a diverse range of clients some of whom present with complex physical, emotional and social needs. Supervision and support for the post holder is in place from Senior Occupational Therapists and other managers across health and social care. The team is supportive and we encourage day to day advice between team members to foster a learning and improvement culture at work.
