With a focus on SEND

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Early Years Practitioner who will be part of the Oliver Thomas Children’s Centre team in the East Ham Community Neighbourhood. Experience of working and supporting families of children who have SEND is desirable but not essential.

Oliver Thomas Children’s Centre works in collaboration with Altmore Children’s Centre and are  part of the East Ham Family Hub.

Our focus is on ensuring families in our area are able to access Newham’s Best Start in Life Guarantee.

This is an integral role within our organisation not only will you plan and lead on the delivery of some of our family learning sessions. You will also be delivering family learning packages from within the home environment; linking with local schools and community venues; outreaching to families and advertising the services available to families with children under five.

The successful applicants will need to be very flexible, have an enthusiastic approach and be able to work collaboratively and sensitively across our neighbourhood. They will be professional at all times, with a particular awareness of confidentiality.

Good communication skills, excellent recordkeeping and teamwork are essential.
