Early Help Senior Practitioner
Post: Early Help Senior Practitioner x 2
Salary: Grade J
Working Pattern: Full Time (35 hours)
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Early Help and Children and Family service for two permanent Early Help Senior practitioners. The service is on a journey to deliver excellence through a service model based on the Family Hubs Approach. There are two posts available in different teams within the Early Help service although interviews will be conducted together.
Early Help Hub
The Early Help Hub (EHH) provides a single point of access for the public, and all those working with children, young people and their families within the local community, offering advice and recommending support for a range of issues. The EHH team screens Early Help enquires and MASH contacts (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub) to ensure an appropriate level of response / support is provided for families. The Early Help Hub Senior Practitioner will report to and support the Early Help Hub manager with providing strategic and operational leadership and coordination for the Early Help Hub. This role requires a strong understanding of thresholds for statutory intervention and the management of risk in Tier 2 services ideally gained from experience of working in similar teams. The Early Help Hub is currently merging with the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), this will streamline processes for identifying and addressing concerns about child welfare and will reduce duplication.
