The role
Are you a newly qualified teacher or teacher with a few years’ experience looking for a new challenge and high-quality professional development? Would you like to work with pupils who are “polite, courteous and respectful with positive attitudes towards their learning” who “benefit from a broad, balanced and creative curriculum”? We are seeking to appoint a creative, inspirational and aspirational class teacher to work at Dalmain, starting in September 2023, with the exciting possibility of whole school leadership for the right person. We welcome applications from Early Career Teachers or Mainscale teachers of any level – the important factor is a passion for learning, progress and achievement. This position will be for KS1 or Lower KS2 depending on the candidate.
Dalmain is a successful 2 form entry community school with a diverse, caring and hard-working community of adults and children. We are passionate about balancing academic rigour in teaching and learning with creativity through a rich and broad curriculum.

What we're looking for
The successful candidate will work with children to give them access to the curriculum and will have:-
A love of children and a passion for making a difference to young children’s lives;
- Qualified Teacher Status;
- A passion for learning and achievement;
- Excellent practice with high expectations.
- Experience of teaching children in EYFS, KS1 or KS2;
- Secure pedagogical understanding of current teaching practices;
- A thorough and up to date understanding of how young children learn.
