Social Worker
The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) is a critical frontline service and an integrated team of partnership agencies that consists of Social Work practitioners, Social Care Assessors, Occupational Therapists, Police, Health, London Fire Brigade, London Ambulance Service etc. which share information to improve decision-making to safeguard adults at risk of or experiencing abuse or neglect whenever there are concerns.
We are currently looking to expand our service as we continue to embrace and deliver safeguarding in accordance with the requirements of the Care Act (2014) and we are seeking to recruit Social Workers to join this dynamic frontline team. Successful applicants will be required to demonstrate a person-centred approach to their work, a good understanding of the Care Act (2014) and the London Multi-Agency Adult Safeguarding Procedures. They will require excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of agencies and teams across the Borough. Good IT skills are essential.
Successful applicants will be committed to providing quality services that promote principles of empowerment to support adults at risk, their carers and advocates to achieve their outcomes. Applicants will be required to use skills of assessment, critical thinking and decision making in supporting adults to manage risk and to identify appropriate resources to minimise risk of harm. Applicants must have sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures, current legislation, and government initiatives; also, a willingness to look forward and explore new and creative ways of working.
