Grade 5 £30,699- £33,819 Pro Rata (Part Time 18 hours per week) 

This is a key role within Benefit Services.

You will provide assurance that Housing Benefit & Council Tax Support claims and transactions within the system are accurate, correct and not fraudulent.

You will prepare, submit and present appeal cases to the independent Appeals Tribunal Service.

You will also be required to prepare and review Discretionary Housing Payments.

The majority of the role can be undertaken remotely in the UK.

 Detailed knowledge of Housing Benefit Legislation & Council Tax Support rules is essential.

 The successful candidate will also have:

  Experience of using the Capita One Revenues and Benefits benefit processing computer system or similar

  A methodical approach and pay attention to detail.

  A commitment to quality customer service and possess good communication skills, both written and oral

  The ability to organise their own caseload.

  The ability to prioritise and work as part of a team

  A flexible approach to the workload
