Curriculum Leader English
Start date: September 2023
Our school values ‘Be Proud, Aim High, Work Hard, Be Kind, No Excuses’ are at the centre of everything we do. Our vision is to provide students with a rich experience of school that empowers them with the qualifications, knowledge, skills and emotional resilience to enhance their own lives and the lives of others.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who shares our vision and values and is committed to making a valuable contribution to the work we do to promote social justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.
As Curriculum Leader for English you would have the opportunity to lead a great team of teachers and support staff who have an excellent record for delivering a relevant, engaging and well sequenced curriculum in innovative and creative ways. As a member of the Middle Leaders Team, you would play a key part in the leadership and management of our thriving school. You would have the opportunity to continue your professional learning in a school that is passionate about improving what we do and how we do it.
'Leaders prioritise staff professional development and well-being. Those teachers who are new to the profession are very well supported. Staff are proud to work in the school' Ofsted November 2022
GCSE examination results are consistently very good and Ofsted (November 2022) identified that this is because 'students work hard and achieve well' and 'students’ benefit from a curriculum that is carefully sequenced and expertly taught by skilled staff'.
