HEAD OF ASSETS

There has never been a more exciting time to join Wyre Council. If you are looking for a new role where you will have the opportunity to oversee a large property portfolio containing approximately 240 assets, as well as playing a huge part in large scale and exciting investment projects in the local area, then this may just be the perfect job for you. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Head of Assets will report in to and work very closely with Wyre Councils Corporate Director Communities to shape and deliver services including Estates and Property Management, Building Maintenance and lead on asset development projects ensuring that council assets are well utilised and deliver a good return.

There are a number of exciting innovative regeneration and investment projects for the successful candidate to get stuck in to, details of which I am happy to discuss and share further with interested applicants.

ABOUT YOU

You will have substantial experience in delivering development and capital improvements within a public sector environment.

The Head of Assets is expected to be a strong leader and shall be able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness in order to maximise use of assets and the ability to identify and develop new opportunities.

Please note that a clean and valid UK driving license is required for this position, given the fact that you will be expected to travel for site visits across the borough. 

Being a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is desirable.

The role offers hybrid working, with an expectation that you are in the office 3 days per week.
