About the role
The Youth and Family resilience service has one major goal at its heart – to take a holistic approach to the needs of vulnerable children and their families. We aim to do this by pointing our partnership resources, through joint commissioning and service delivery, at early intervention, delivery of statutory services and better support for recovery. This will lead to a strengthened response to emerging needs and ultimately increase family resilience and well-being.
In the role of Assistant Director, you will act as lead officer providing strategic policy direction and leadership, overseeing the operational management and financial control for Youth Offending and our services for Children Missing Education.
You will provide strategic leadership and accountability in to main areas – the delivery of statutory intervention services relating to Youth offending and youth crime prevention. Also that of reducing exclusions and improving school attendance across the Borough.
About You
You will bring significant senior strategic management experience in a large public sector organisation and a track record of delivering substantial change and improvement to youth and family services. You will have demonstrable experience in leading multi-agency partnerships, and in the strategic development and delivery of complex services.
