About The Role
The Council is looking for an enthusiastic and efficient Commissioning Assistant to support the delivery of the work of the three Adults and Health Commissioning Teams. This will involve managing mailboxes, facilitating meetings, event planning, etc.
About You
Strong organisational abilities – staying on top of diaries and calendars, keeping paperwork (whether digital or physical) filed neatly, and always thinking ahead to what’s next.
Clear communication skills – excellent verbal communicator with personable manner; and excellent written communication with attention to detail for spelling, grammar and presentation - to respond to emails, facilitate meetings, lead on event planning, etc.
Initiative and drive – we don't want someone who is just reactive - responding to needs as they come in. We want some one who looks for ways to create efficiencies, streamline operations and implement new programs to the benefit of themselves, our Commissioning Teams and the Directorate as a whole.
IT literacy – proficient in Microsoft Office and any other tools that might be used in the organisation (such as project management tools).
Honesty and discretion – administrative professionals are often privy to confidential communications, strategy meetings, business performance figures and other classified information. They need to be relied on to keep this information confidential.
Awareness of the commissioning cycle and of Adults and Health is a plus.
