School Crossing Patrol Officer

This is a permanent, part-time position, 10 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term-time)

Scale 1 (£23,457 - £24,012) pro rata. £12.50 per hour

The London Borough of Newham is seeking to recruit a School Crossing Patrol Officer. The vacancy is in New Barn Street, London, E13 supporting the children of Kaizen and Ravenscroft Primary Schools.

The successful applicant will help to ensure the safety of pedestrians crossing the highway at a designated location during specific times. You will have experience of working with children, a good understanding of the Highway Code, clear verbal communication skills and be both reliable and punctual.

in addition, you must be fit enough to stand for long periods of time, be prepared to work in all weather conditions, have good eyesight and hearing and be confident to stop traffic.

Training and uniform will be provided.
