At Parents And Children Together (PACT) we are genuinely passionate about what we do. We share a purpose of empowering service users and strengthening families through the quality services we provide.
We have been at the forefront of adoption services for over 60 years, working with local authorities across the country. With our outstanding Ofsted rating, we work with a high degree of flexibility and innovation and a range of adopters from all backgrounds.
The Placements Officer role is a pivotal one within the Adoption service, providing the ‘child finding’ service to find suitable children for a family after they have been approved by the adoption panel to become adopters. The post holder is the first point of contact for Local Authorities looking to place children, and whilst they will not meet the children directly, they play a key role in finding their forever family.
We are looking for someone with a knowledge of adoption acquired through a personal, professional or voluntary capacity, and experience in a customer-facing role (such as sales, marketing, promotion, PR, fundraising, recruitment, or social work).
You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and communicate effectively with service users and external agencies, and the ability to deliver excellent customer service and offer empathy and support to adopters by relating to their experiences.
To join our inspirational organisation where you can make a real difference to adoptive families, please visit https://www.pactcharity.org/careers/current-opportunities/ for further information and details on how to apply.
