Edith Kerrison Nursery School and Children’s Centre is seeking to appoint an aspirational Assistant Headteacher to work alongside and support the Headteacher to develop and deliver strategic plans and embed our mission and ethos as we move forward on our exciting journey. We have been established as a nursery school for nearly 100 years and together with our Children’s Centre we are committed to serving our children and families in the Custom House and Canning Town neighbourhood to give them the best possible early year’s education and care.
Our dedicated and highly skilled staff work together to ensure children are happy, healthy and curious successful learners and families are given the support they need. Edith Kerrison has a reputation for high quality inclusive early years provision. We want our school to be a place where all feel they can belong and flourish.
We enjoy a collaborative partnership with other nursery schools in Newham and local boroughs through our established and highly effective networks. We work to raise the quality of our provision through innovative and reflective evaluation of practice, so that together we improve children’s outcomes and overcome disadvantage, wholeheartedly believing there are no limits to children’s achievements.
The children, staff, parents and governors have a great sense of pride in the School and Children’s Centre and care passionately about its future success. Together we are a vibrant and strong community.
