Service Manager Looked After and Vulnerable Children
This is an excellent opportunity for any candidate who wants to make a difference to the lives of Looked After Children and is able to demonstrate the transferable skills and technical expertise to manage a demanding large service area within the Looked After Children and Leaving Care Service. The post holder will report to the Head of Looked After Children and Care Leavers.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Children and Family Services operational management group with opportunities to make a real contribution to the quality of life in the borough and the life chances of its children and young people as well as having the support of a richly experienced team of colleagues. The Looked After Children Team manage court proceedings as well as supporting Looked After children who are in both short and long-term placements.
All candidates must be a Qualified Social Worker and be registered with Social Work England, be able to demonstrate management skills and have a wide knowledge of the needs of Looked After children and understand the pressures of this service area.
