Occupational Therapist
Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.
Not all Occupational Therapy Jobs are in the NHS. Are you looking for a new challenge and a chance to support the development of an innovative paediatric service? You should join the Therapies team at the London Borough of Redbridge.
We are delighted to be able to offer a committed and dynamic experienced Occupational Therapist the opportunity to join our Community Children's Occupational Therapy London Borough of Redbridge SEND therapies service.
Redbridge Education, Access and Inclusion Services have exceptional specialist support services delivering to a wide range of schools and education settings. We expanded this central service in September 2021 to include a dedicated school focused Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy service.
You will have the opportunity to experience working with children who have Autism Spectrum Condition and a wide variety of physical needs. The service works with children in school to provide interventions and support for children to improve their ability to engage in education along with developing skills to support independence and optimal function. Our aim is to also provide training and advice to schools and give teachers and staff tools to develop each child’s individual needs using an inclusive and functional approach to learning
We work in close partnership with colleagues in health, education and social care to provide a high-quality service. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and enthusiastic to join our team, ideally who has previous experience working with children.
