Social Worker

Waltham Forest SEND Service is looking for an Adult Social Worker to join our team. This is a small social care team attached to the SEND service supporting children and adults from the age 0 – 25 years old with EHC plans. The team consist of 3 Adult Social Workers, 2 Children’s Social Worker, 2 Social Care Assistance, Senior Social Worker and a Team Manager

This is a very exciting post, which you will need to be a professionally qualified for and hold a social work England registration, with at least 2 years post qualified experience in completing Care Act Assessment, reviews, Mental Capacity Assessments, Court of Protection Work. 

You will need to have good IT, verbal and written communication skills.  You will also need to have a clear understanding of Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). In your role you will also be expected to present your cases to various panels held within the SEND Service or by other Teams within the Local Authority.
