Rough Sleeping Service Manager

Overview:

In line with Central government commitments, the City of London has pledged to reduce and ultimately end rough sleeping in the Square Mile. Our Homelessness Prevention and Rough Sleeping Service helps support people in their homes, provides accurate and helpful guidance and, if necessary, acts to resolve rough sleeping.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the Rough Sleeping element of the service.

The role is responsible for day-to-day leadership of the Rough Sleeping Team, including line management responsibilities, and the coordination of an array of commissioned rough sleeping sector partners. The role reports to the Head of Service for Homelessness, Prevention and Rough Sleeping.

The post holder will sustain strategic links with a number of stakeholders including Central Government advisors. The role manages a budget and is responsible for seeking, using and reporting on significant levels of grant funding.

Candidates will need to demonstrate a proven track record in, or clear aptitude for, using leadership and management techniques and skills across a wide array of complex and fast-moving scenarios.

The role is currently delivered in hybrid model with a mix of office and home-based working.

As the role represents an exciting career development opportunity, secondments from the voluntary sector, central government and sub-regional bodies are welcome.
