About Us:

Coordinate a range of activities to teach new approaches to children’s social work.

At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people at the heart of everything we do. Our Centre for Systemic Social Work teaches practitioners across our Borough and other areas of England a more therapeutic approach to social work. Systemic practice is a theory of change that helps with the complexity and challenges faced by vulnerable families. Our supportive and friendly team of logistics and teaching professionals aim to empower students with the know-how to provide better services for children, young people and families.

The Role:

As Coordinator, you will play a key role in making the student experience of the Centre for Systemic Social Work as smooth and seamless as possible. You will provide logistical and coordination support for a range of teaching activities, projects and programmes – from coordinating training courses, coaching and mentoring opportunities, through to securing venues and supporting teachers. Crucially, you will also support our students, who include busy social work practitioners, supervisors and leaders – for example, if they are struggling to meet the deadline for an assignment due to a high case load at work, you will help to reach a solution. You will also enjoy responsibility for managing the Centre’s website and social media channels, making sure they are actively populated with content that is relevant, useful, up-to-date and engaging.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information

About You:

To join us, you will need impressive organisational, communication and logistical skills. You will bring proven experience in coordinating and organising large scale programmes of work involving multiple stakeholders to the role. Your experience of managing projects or events has given you confidence in making decisions, coordinating people and activities, and working flexibly and autonomously. We expect you to demonstrate good IT skills, with a particular flair for Microsoft Excel. Equally important will be a talent for building rapport and relationships with diverse people.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme, generous annual leave, and excellent learning and development opportunities.
