At Brighton & Hove City Council, we are looking to replace a number of our business-critical back-office systems with a new ERP solution. This includes our current HR staff management, recruitment, procurement, finance accounting and payment (including online) systems. To do this, we have a new opportunity for a project manager within IT & Digital.

The role will be hybrid working with the option to work from home for some of the time. Please note that the successful applicant will be expected to attend the Brighton & Hove offices as and when needed at the discretion of the service and needs of the role.

About the role

As the Business Analyst, you will be joining the ERP programme at an exciting time to help deliver the procurement stage. You will be working with SMEs from the service areas (HR, Finance, Procurement and Welfare, Revenues and Business Support - WRBS) to complete process value stream maps analysing the current state of our processes whilst working alongside the wider programme team.

We are looking for an individual who is dynamic, change and process focused.  You’ll be continuously building good working relationships and will be engaging and influencing a variety of stakeholders, at all levels.  Joint working is essential to us successfully delivering solutions, which in turn helps improve our services to support citizens in our vibrant City!

Help facilitate change and make a difference by working with us to support business transformation using digital solutions, to ensure that the current and future needs of the council are met.

The role is varied and accommodates a person who is keen to understand and map how council services work now and can confidently recommend how they can improve by using technology. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, welcoming and supportive Change Delivery team of business analysts and project managers as well as working with the wider programme team including service areas, SMEs & other IT&D colleagues.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
