About the role

This role involves working alongside the Head of Legal and Governance and another Head of Legal Services to manage and provide strategic lead for the Litigation, Corporate Property and Planning division of the Haringey Legal Service. In this senior management role you will be involved in a number of high level projects including exciting regeneration plans for the borough. The role includes managing a small team of Principal Lawyers and oversight of a wider legal team and it also covers the position of joint Deputy Monitoring Officer.

About you

We are seeking a highly experienced solicitor or barrister who has extensive knowledge of litigation, corporate, property and planning in diverse inner city areas. You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to shape and develop a team. Local government experience is desirable but applications are invited from other disciplines as well.
