Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor
Are you a building surveyor with experience of social housing?
The United Reformed Church Retired Ministers Housing Society is a Community Benefit Society providing housing for church ministers in retirement. Our 280 properties are dispersed across England, Scotland, and Wales.
This key appointment will manage repairs and maintenance operations within a small team. You will play a crucial role in the review and efficient delivery of the asset management strategy, assessing properties for their ongoing suitability and specifying repairs and adaptations to meet the needs of elderly tenants. Managing planned maintenance forms an important part of the role, alongside the need to deal promptly and effectively with reactive repairs. You will prepare specifications and technical drawings and select and manage contractors within budget.
You are educated to degree level and hold a RICS or CIOB accreditation with at least 3 years post qualification experience in residential maintenance and surveying, ideally within the context of social housing. A good communicator and collaborator, you can write and present complex technical reports and are a team player willing to support colleagues. Good ICT skills are essential. Based in London with extensive travel, a clean driving licence is an essential requirement.
We can offer you a flexible and friendly work environment: hybrid working from Church House, London and from home is a possibility.
