Location - Gearies Children’s Centre

The Early Years and Childcare Improvement Team (EYCIT) are looking to appoint a passionate individual with experience of developing practice within the Early Years. The successful candidate will work alongside colleagues in supporting early years settings within the borough to deliver high-quality provision and ensure all children can achieve their full potential.

A Childminding Development Officer provides advice, training, challenge and support to childminders within the borough. We are looking for an individual who understands the demands and challenges childminders face and will use this knowledge to adapt their approach to support childminders develop the quality of their practice.

The developing of high-quality provision and safeguarding practices are a fundamental part of the Childminding Development Officer role. We are therefore looking to appoint an individual with an in-depth understanding of effective Early Years Practice and a secure understanding of the Early Years Statutory Framework.

The Childminding Development Officer will work collaboratively with internal and external contacts to enhance training and support materials used to develop the quality of provision and safeguarding practices of Childminders.
