Job introduction

Brighton and Hove City Council's Health & Adult Social Care team are looking for a Leadership Support Officer.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive and effective business support and administrative service to the leadership and management team and be part of the Leadership Support Team reporting to the Executive Assistant. The team is critical to supporting the directorate to fulfill its mission to promote and improve health and wellbeing, reduce health inequalities, and support people to live independent and fulfilling lives.

We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivating team players with a proven administrative background, you should be able to demonstrate previous experience of working in business support, administration or personal assistant roles.

It is essential that you have experience of taking minutes and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel. Other IT Digital Skills would be an advantage.

About the role

You will provide support to the Assistant Directors and managers in the Adult Social Care department through diary management and working collaboratively with colleagues across the council and external organisations.

You will facilitate a variety of complex, multi-discipline professional meetings, forums and other strategy meetings taking accurate minutes and managing action plans.

You will have a varied workload undertaking multiple business support functions, including financial processes, undertaking research, preparing communications and reports, and ensuring critical work is completed within deadlines.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
