About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Group Banking and Payments to join our team.

This is a senior level opportunity to take the lead on evolving and driving the finance function to facilitate the business’s ongoing transformation mission, delivering a best-in-class function. You will use your skills and expertise to lead an efficient banking and payments function centred around robust financial controls and, automated processes and real time reporting to maximise the financial capacity of the new Peabody Group. The role will be integral to delivering a modernised finance function and provides an opportunity to have a real impact on transforming this area.

The Head of Group Banking and Payments will be responsible for leading, motivating and developing a high performing team that provide the highest standards of accuracy, efficiency and customer service.  Develop and implement, in conjunction with the Head of Financial Systems and Transformation, strategies to maximise automation and efficiency within our Payments function whilst ensuring that a robust control environment is in place. 

About the person

We are looking for an Head of Service who is a confident role model and leader, ensuring you reflect the values of the organisation with substantial experience of leading and developing teams to drive efficiency and improvements.  With excellent communication skills operating with gravitas and diplomacy to both internal and external stakeholders. 

A CCAB qualified accountant, with extensive leadership experience and ability to shape strategic direction.
