The Post

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Occupational Therapists (OT) to join us here in Brent in Adult Social Care. We are a values-based employer looking for enthusiastic newly qualified and experienced Occupational Therapists.

As a Social Care OT, you will be responding to those in need of social care support and taking appropriate interventions as required. Occupational Therapists here at Brent use a strength-based approach to promote the independence, interest, and rights of our residents and their families. Across our Adult Social Care service, we strive to deliver a culture of working together, positive risk-taking, and accountability. Our core aim is to support our residents to be influential active members of our community.

The Person

Will have relevant professional qualifications such as a Degree / Diploma from the College of Occupational Therapists or equivalent. Evidence of current registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC). Evidence of recent and relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

We are looking for Occupational Therapists with excellent communication skills and experience in working within a social care or community-focused multi-disciplinary setting, as well as some experience with moving and handling equipment and the ability to recommend minor and major adaptations. You will need to be passionate about working with vulnerable adults and providing excellent service. Skills in multi-tasking, prioritisation, caseload management, and time management.            

The role will offer you the opportunity to work as part of a multi-skilled team that includes Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Sensory Impairment Officers, and Care Assessors.
