Play Team Member

Salary: Grade 1/2 Points 1-5. Pro Rata Salary of £3,698 - £3,933 p.a. (FTE £21,228 - £22,575 p.a.)

Hours: 7.5 hours per week x 38 weeks per year

 

Due to our recent school changing lunchtime arrangements and launching our exciting play project -OPAL, we need four additional members to join our lunchtime team.

Do you support the right for children to have high quality playtimes? Are you approachable and able to work as part of a team? Would you be able to encourage pupil engagement and foster good behaviour?

If the answer is yes, we are looking to recruit playworkers to join our experienced team of lunchtime staff… and it could be you!

This key role would be:

  • To support the development of the play environment
  • To support communication on play to the whole school community
  • To support effective risk management in play
  • To develop effective playwork practise within the play team.
  • To support the provision and maintenance of loose parts and play resources
  • To report to the Curriculum lead for Play

Applicants should be able to talk about how they demonstrate the following qualities: enthusiasm, a sense of humour, an ability to stay calm and patient. As a member of our team you would use these qualities  to make lunchtime a positive and worthwhile experience for all of our pupils.
