An opportunity has arisen to join the Disability & Home Improvement Team. This multi-disciplinary team provides services to the homes of Greenwich residents across all tenures, with a focus on supporting older and vulnerable residents to live independently in their homes by adapting or improving their home.
The rewarding post will suit applicants who have a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable people and an understanding of housing problems faced by older people and those with disabilities.
The successful candidate should ideally have detailed working knowledge of home renovation, disabled grants legislation and disrepair issues faced in private sector housing.
You will be responsible for assisting and advising clients in the preparation of applications, for Disabled Facilities Grants, Landlord Grants, Home Improvement Grants and Loans. Duties typically include managing a caseload, preparing cases for approval, liaising with clients, contractors, Occupational Therapists, and other stakeholders.
You should have a comprehensive ability to accurately calculate grant entitlement, process payments, repayments and interest payments.
You will need to be motivated, organised, and committed to deliver exceptional customer service.
