You will join us at an exciting time as the Royal Borough continues with its on-going ambitious regeneration programme and you will play a pivotal role in delivering some of our key corporate objectives.
We are looking to recruit an experienced, skilled and dynamic Assistant Head of Legal Services - Regeneration & Property, to lead our in-house team. The right candidate must have strong management and communication skills and an ability to manage projects. Utilising skills and experience gained within a similar position, you will report to the Director of Legal Services and will have your own complex and varied caseload.
You will need to work collaboratively with our clients and external legal partners, providing corporate guidance and co-ordinating large regeneration projects. Your vision and insight will be equally as important, and you must have the ability to foster challenging but supportive relationships with the people you represent and advise, both as their trusted legal adviser, but also as a persuasive senior colleague.
You will be responsible for leading a team that delivers Royal Borough of Greenwich's property work including regeneration, commercial property, homeownership and land transactions. We are looking for someone who cares about what they do, are passionate about improving standards and performance, and are committed to mentoring and developing a team that shares this vision.
The role will involve legal advice and support to committees, members and senior officers, and taking any appropriate measures to ensure continued legal service delivery. You will also contribute to the overall management of Legal Services, as part of an excellent management team.

You must be a qualified solicitor or barrister holding a current practising certificate, or FiLex.
