About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Strategic Communications and Campaigns Officer to lead on, develop and manage innovative communications strategies and campaigns to support the council’s key messages, objectives and priorities, and to help change behaviour.

Ideally, you’ll have a strong background in marketing communications with knowledge of the full range of marketing techniques and channels. You will be responsible for writing and producing external communications media, including leaflets, magazines, posters and organising and managing events. You will produce content for Haringey People, the council’s flagship magazine, our social media and other channels. You will work with colleagues across the communications service, including design, digital and press, on delivering a range of integrated campaigns.

About the Team:

The council’s communications team is responsible for delivering the council’s internal and external communications – from staff newsletters to our flagship residents’ magazine, Haringey People.

The communications team work together on key campaigns aligned to support the council’s key priorities. We work closely with colleagues across the council, and support Cabinet Members in their portfolio areas. 

 The communications team is made up of four areas:

  • Media and PR
  • Strategic Communications and Campaigns
  • Placemaking and Housing
  • Commercial and Operations
