Job introduction

This is a great opportunity to lead the work of the the Youth Employment Hub (Hub) in Kemp Town.
Successfully established in 2021 the Youth Employment Hub brings together council employability services, The National Careers Service, Department for Work and Pensions Work Coaches and other professionals supporting young people in the city. Please visit our website to check out our offer to young people. Youth Employment Hub (brighton-hove.gov.uk)

We provide a safe and welcoming space with IT, Wi-fi,  information, advice and guidance, a range of activities to support employability skills and confidence building, and work searching. We get regular feedback from attendees to shape services and we work with employers and training providers to connect young people to local opportunities.

Fixed term to: August 2023

About the role

This role could be for you if you:

- have a as a minimum a Level 2 qualification in Careers, Advice and Guidance) or equivalent experience,

-are passionate about supporting young people to progress

- have good knowledge of educational and employment pathways locally, and of the barriers facing dis-advantaged and under-represented groups,

- want to work in a great location with like minded professionals,.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
