This is a full time, 24 month FTC role based in the Town Hall with the ability to work remotely for most of the week.

Our skilled and Lexcel accredited Legal Team has a crucial role providing the full range and variety of expert services across all areas of the Council’s work.

If you’re an experienced and highly motivated legal professional keen to maximise your potential, then we’d love to hear from you. You will be joining a dynamic, supportive, commercially focused team, working in a relaxed but professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

You will be one of a team of lawyers dealing with a challenging and varied Planning and Regeneration caseload that includes working on planning agreements and planning related matters, including appeals. In addition to the above areas, you will be able to demonstrate experience of dealing with planning enquiries, providing advice at planning committees and negotiation/completion of S.106 and other agreements. You will have excellent drafting skills and the ability to provide legal advice to a variety of audiences, including senior officers. You will be able to conduct your caseload with minimum supervision and will be accustomed to working at pace in a busy team.
