Business Support Officer
Job introduction
Following an extensive Early Help review, Brighton and Hove City Council plans to develop Family Hubs as the delivery model for Early Help services across the city. Family Hubs will provide seamless accessible support to families with children aged 0-19 (25 with SEND). The Business Support Officer will provide support to the Family Hubs Transformation Manager and programme management team for the duration of the transformation programme to March 2024.

About the role
To provide specific, tailored and responsive business support to the Family Hubs programme management team (Families, Children & Learning) developing it in the light of changing patterns of demands and new or relevant legislation, whilst being alert to opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
To be responsible for providing business support to enable the efficient and effective delivery of a range different workstreams relating to the Transformation programme. This will include working with both internal and external partners across Brighton and Hove.
To provide accurate and timely front-line customer and stakeholder focused information and be the first point to contact for people who contact the programme management team.
Key skills you can offer:
- A flexible, adaptable approach to work with ability to multi task effectively according to business priorities
- Ability to deal with confidential information tactfully and with discretion
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in business support duties including arranging meetings, and taking minutes which may be of a complex nature .
- Competent in working with Outlook and Microsoft Office packages
- Inputting and retrieval of data on service based IT system

Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.
