ABOUT THE ROLE 

In this vital role you will work in the change and improvement team and drive through positive change across our services, positively impacting our children, families, young people and communities. This role will deliver on a range of complex projects across the directorate, with a greater focus on ensuring we can deliver, demonstrate and evidence the impact of SEND Improvement. 

This role will help sharpen our focus, harness our strengths, and identify opportunities to ensure our children and young people can thrive. The role will deliver additional problem-solving capacity and the ability to think differently. 

Working collaboratively across the directorate and wider Council, the core priorities of the role will be to drive innovative service improvements aligned to corporate priorities; ensure the broad range of strategies and services delivered by Children and Young People Services (CYPS) collectively work towards enhancing the lives of everyone working and living in our borough. You will identify opportunities to increase efficiency, with accountability for savings delivery and service delivery whilst supporting the continuous improvement agenda. 

ABOUT YOU 

We are looking for long term, sustainable change. You will have demonstrable experience of delivering on a range of key policies and strategies, ensuring that projects of change, innovation and transformation making an impact and last. 

Experience of delivering change and innovative initiatives across a broad range of services in a complex environment will be second nature. An understanding of the children's services across social care and education, will contribute to your ability to deliver complex activity. 

You will be able to positively engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders in change processes and have successfully delivered large-scale operational saving initiatives whilst driving service improvement. 

Inspiring innovation and partnership working you will benefit from a collaborative management style, with the ability to engage, develop and drive services to achieve operational excellence, increasing efficiency and productivity. 

Ultimately, we are looking for you to embrace change, seize opportunities and disrupt what is normal, to deliver positive outcomes for children and young people within the borough.
