Senior Lawyer – Civil Litigation

Our skilled and Lexcel accredited Legal Team has a crucial role providing the full range and variety of expert services across all areas of the Council’s work.

Key Responsibilities
• You will be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of working on local authority employment matters at a senior level . Experience of other civil litigation would be desirable.
• You will have excellent drafting skills and an eye for detail.
• You will be able to conduct your caseload with minimal supervision and will be accustomed to working at pace in a busy team.
• You will provide legal advice to a variety of audiences, including senior officers and undertake some of your own advocacy.
Requirements
You must be a Qualified Solicitor/Barrister or Fellow of CILEX and hold a practising certificate.
