Research and Support Officer (Labour Group)

In this role you will be supporting a number of Labour Assembly Members for three days per week. The role requires you to deal with influential, high profile people, confidential and sensitive issues and documents within a pressurised environment. Excellent organisational, analytical, problem solving, research and written communication skills are crucial.
The successful candidate will have diary management experience, the ability to draft correspondence, event and meeting management experience. Casework experience is desirable.
Acting as a first point of contact for the Assembly Members you support, you’ll represent professional views and interests to a wide range of people both within and external to the organisation. For this this particular post, candidates’ applications should highlight strong organisational and communication skills and demonstrate ability to pro-actively problem solve.
This role will be based at City Hall, in the Royal Docks (Kamal Chunchie Way, London, E16 1ZE). GLA staff are hybrid working in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.

This post is part of a job share arrangement and the successful applicant will be required to Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
