Redbridge Youth Justice and Targeted Prevention Service (YJTPS) is looking for a passionate and highly motivated individual to join our multi-agency delivery team and work with children and young people and their families.
As an Operational Assistant, you will provide operational support to the statutory function of the Youth Offending and Targeted Prevention Service arising from section 39 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. This is part of the local Youth Justice Partnership which includes Police, Probation, Health, Children’s Social Care and is led by the Local Authority.
The main duties of the post include preparing court lists, updating court results, collating papers for new cases, recording and distributing information post court as well as maintaining records including the progress of out of court disposal cases.
You will be conversant with management information system, be able to monitor progress of cases and to assist the Information Officer in providing accurate and well-presented statistical returns and management information reports.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills to undertake work within tight deadlines, as well as the ability to work well under your own initiative and as part of a multi-agency Service. The nature of the role means that flexible working is required including occasional evening and weekend work.
