Reporting directly to our Corporate Director of Adult Social Care & Health this role will manage a portfolio of frontline operational services and work to deliver integrated personalised health and social care services as part of delivering the council’s commitments to One Croydon Alliance.
This post holds the deputy role of DASS to the Corporate Director of Adult Social Care & Health which holds the statutory post of Director of Adult Social Services (DASS) in accordance with the Local Authority Social Services Act 1970 Section 7 and the May 2006 Guidance on the Statutory Chief Officer Post of the Director of Adult Social Services from the Department of Health.
A key requirement of this role is providing high quality advice to the Corporate Director of Adult Social Care, Chief Executive, the Mayor, elected Members, Scrutiny and Overview Committee, the Health and Well-Being Board and any other external bodies on all matters related to the adult social care operational functions of the council. Experience of working within a political environment is essential.
