Apprentice Rehabilitation Support Worker

Are you an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with a team but also autonomously and wants to help people recover and rehabilitate at home? If so, we would welcome you application for the position of rehabilitation support worker with the intermediate care, community rehabilitation team. Rehabilitation support workers work individually on programs set by physiotherapists and occupational therapists to help people improve their mobility and functional independence, as well as their general wellbeing.
We are a caring and resilient team that aims to provide high quality assessments and therapeutic interventions to people with a variety of medical conditions, including stroke and neuro, in their own homes.
You will need:
- Previous experience and skills in rehabilitation or caring role
Or
- An interest in developing experience and skills in this role
- Car driver is preferrable as you will be required to travel across Redbridge
We offer:
- Monthly supervision by a therapist and yearly appraisal
- In service training by the team
- Individually tailored training as necessary
- A supportive network of experienced rehabilitation support workers
- Refund of travel expenses to community home visits
This is a full time, fixed term post for 2 years.
