Technical Officer – Food and Safety – 2 posts

We are looking to recruit two Technical Officers to support our Food and Safety Environmental Health Practitioners in their day to day work. 

We welcome applications from enthusiastic individuals who will be part of a high performing team that ensures commercial business and public events throughout the borough meet the highest possible standards.

The role of the technical officer will involve day to day communication with members of the public, providing advice, investigating complaints and carrying out interventions including sampling in commercial premises.

The successful candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills, have experience of food safety, health and safety and public safety inspections or investigations and demonstrate an understanding how  food safety and health and safety law is applied to businesses throughout our the borough.

You will hold a full driving licence and be able to provide you own car.  You will be required to work on a flexible basis which will include some evenings and weekends.

Full Time 36 Hours
