Strategic Resourcing Adviser (New Talent) RBKC585852

Job Summary:

Salary range: £37,260 - £45,381 per annum
Work location: London
Hours per week: 36
Contract type: Permanent
Closing date: 17th July 2022
Interview date: 29th July 2022

About Us:

Help the borough recover and renew by increasing work experience, placements, internships, learning and employment opportunities

Based within Human Resources and Organisational Development.

The Role:

You will lead on the recruitment of a range of apprenticeship and other entry to employment programmes e.g., work experience and voluntary schemes, traineeships, internships, kickstart schemes, employability, and social value schemes for underrepresented groups such as Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic young people (BAME), young people with special educational needs and disability (SEND), Care Leavers, Carers, and individuals not in education, employment, or Training (NEET).

The challenges for finding work are particularly acute for young residents in the borough aged 16-24 as they try to compete in the labour market against more experienced candidates.

We are responding to these challenges by creating quality entry to employment opportunities that provide an entry and development route to apprenticeships or employment outcomes.

Joining our resourcing team, you will lead on apprenticeship resourcing activities and support the wider corporate resourcing team to increase the number of new employment and quality apprenticeship opportunities for residents and individuals negatively impacted by COVID-19.

You will collaborate with internal colleagues to develop new apprenticeship opportunities where longer-term skills gaps exist within the workforce.

You will make sure we deliver to the highest standards: following employment legislation and regulations, championing diversity and inclusion, and promoting our corporate values. We want the recruitment process to be a positive experience for everyone who applies.

This is a creative role where you will build relationships and use your HR expertise to make us an employer of choice. By helping us recruit and inspire the best people, you will make us the best organisation we can be.

You will be joining a supportive and collaborative team, but you’ll also need to be ready to work proactively and at pace to deliver Kensington and Chelsea’s ambitious agenda.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information

About You:

You will be experienced in either apprenticeship programmes or early career schemes or inhouse recruitment within a complex organisation. To be effective in this role you will need a good understanding and proven experience of strategic and operational resourcing alongside a high level of self-motivation and the ability to organise and prioritise workloads to meet challenging deadlines.

You will bring well-developed communication and customer service skills and be passionate about supporting individuals furthest from the labour market into employment.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.
