Croydon is London’s second largest borough - a city within the city, full of brilliant and diverse people, businesses, and places.
As a Council we are going through tremendous change, from our evolving response to the pandemic, to our plans to radically reshape and renew our organisation because of financial challenges. We are building a brand-new Council around ourselves – one that is focused on getting things right for its residents, while delivering very differently and within a sustainable financial envelope.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for a new and exciting role. Ideally you will have local government experience, but we also welcome applications from those who come from the private sector. We are looking for a full-time Lawyer to join our friendly Litigation and Corporate Law team and play a key role in the successful delivery of quality legal services to the Council. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to work across disciplines in information governance, licensing, corporate, constitutional, and local government law.
You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive. This is a career grade opportunity and appointment will be made at or within Grade 11 to Grade 16 depending upon your level of experience.
