We are looking for a keen, eager to learn, motivated individual to join the Strategic Procurement team, which is a team within a shared service, namely oneSource, which serves the procurement needs of both Havering and Newham Councils.
This is an excellent opportunity, and is a career graded post spanning three grades, allowing you to develop to progress and grow your career within a fast moving and forward thinking team from Junior Procurement Support Officer (G4 Level 1) through to G5 Level 2 and further to Senior Procurement Support Officer (G6 Level 3).
About the role
The purpose of the role is to provide wide ranging support role in the operational functions of the Strategic Procurement Unit on a number of procurement projects across Havering and Newham councils. You will be carrying out a wide-ranging strategic and operational role within the team helping both councils to achieve value for money in their contracts with external organisations. The Role will be working mainly across the Adult’s and Children’s Social Care and Public Health category and may be required to work across other Categories as necessary.
This post will be on London Borough of Havering’s Terms and Conditions and based within an office within the geographical area of the London Borough of Havering or Newham. Travel between other offices that are part of or supported by oneSource may be required.
