Hours: 35 hours per week x 39 weeks per year - 5 days per week 8am - 4pm with 1 hour lunch
Grade: Scale 3 points 5 to 6
Actual Salary: £18,731 - £19,069 p.a. (includes holiday pay)

We are seeking to appoint a technician to provide effective organisational support of work within our busy Science and Art departments.
The work will involve preparing materials, setting up practical materials and experiments, maintaining a safe & clean working environment, ordering materials, preparing displays and assisting the classroom teacher during practical lessons.
The successful candidate will have good practical skills and ideally some experience in the use of Science equipment. There would be a requirement for the successful candidate to undertake chemical handling training.
We are seeking someone who is highly motivated, flexible & organised who enjoys working with young people.
You will be required to work with key personnel in school and other external agencies. Applicants will need to be adaptable, creative and flexible and have the ability to work with minimum supervision and should have excellent organisational skills. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential.
There would be a requirement for the successful candidate to undertake all relevant first aid training such as diabetic pump training and epi pen training to support the needs of our students whilst on educational visits..
The hours will be 8 hours per day (with a 60 minute lunch break), 5 days per week, 39 weeks a year (term time plus 5 INSET days).
The Royal Liberty School is a small comprehensive school for boys situated on a very pleasant Grade II* listed site. The school is in an excellent location, a short walk from the main line Gidea Park station to London Liverpool Street.
