Local London is a partnership of 8 authorities in East London They are working together to enable and deliver digital connectivity across the sub-region. We have a strategic investment pot of £9.7m to deliver projects in each authority.
Local London is one of four sub regional partnerships in London and this role will be shared between Local London and the South London Partnership http://southlondonpartnership.co.uk/
Activities include the procurement of fibre infrastructure, stimulating commercial investment in the sub-region, engagement with industry and facilitating digital infrastructure delivery by acting as an interface between the Boroughs and the telecommunications industry.
The role will support the development and implementation of the Local London and South London Partnership digital infrastructure workstream. The programme involves 13 boroughs in total and will involve coordinating activity across the boroughs for reporting purposes as well as ensuring finances are managed and programmes within boroughs are delivered effectively. It is also about bringing boroughs together so they can access the digital framework effectively.
Local London is the sub-regional partnership of eight boroughs: Enfield, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Newham, Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Greenwich and Bexley.
The post is based in Ilford at the LB Redbridge but the postholder will be required to work flexibly, including working primarily from home and travelling to meetings and events across the Local London & South London Partnership area and working remotely as required by the demands of the workload.
Redbridge Council is the accountable body for Local London and Local London staff are employed on Redbridge Council terms and conditions.
