About the Commission

The Electoral Commission is the independent body which oversees elections and regulates political finance in the UK.

With a new Head of HR, Chief Executive and Corporate Plan, the HR team is focussed on getting the best out of its systems and processes to ensure a streamlined and responsive service is provided to all its stakeholders. We have an exciting but challenging agenda to improve our HR offering and this role will be key to ensuring that we maximise our systems to deliver it.

About the role

This is a newly created role with the aim of carrying out a wholescale review of our HR activities and associated processes including how we utilise our current and future HR systems. This will involve assisting HR in data analysis, report writing, trouble-shooting, the general use of the systems, developing and testing of new functionalities and communicating with customers and suppliers. As a Process Champion you will have overall responsibility for the governance of HR processes, process maps, documentation, knowledgebase documentation and HR Intranet ensuring that all relevant systems are kept up to date.

About you

With your expertise in HR systems you will be solutions orientated, always keeping the needs of our customers at the forefront.  Highly organised you will approach the projects in a methodological way to ensure delivery. The principle of continuous improvement will guide everything you do and you will be comfortable working in an autonomous way and being accountable for delivery to deadlines. We are a small team and so flexibility to work across and understand different HR disciplines will be key.
