Grade 4 - £24,258 - £26,520 pro rata (28.8hours per week/ part time hours will be considered)

This is an interesting role supporting school governing bodies. The work involves creating agendas for meetings, attending meetings to offer procedural guidance and advice relating to school governance regulations and producing clear and accurate minutes of meetings. There will be contact with governors and school leaders via email and telephone and our online portal.

The successful candidate will need to be methodical, have a good eye for details, be a good communicator both verbally and in writing; be able to understand and interpret regulations and work to set deadlines. Good IT skills and a flexible approach to working hours are essential as the role includes regular clerking of evening meetings (usually 1 or 2 meetings each week during school term time).  Training will be provided in terms of the Governance regulations.  

Governing Body meetings usually take place at schools sites and candidates must be willing to travel to schools in Havering or other surrounding Boroughs, some meetings take place virtually so access to the internet is essential.  Team meetings are held regularly both online and face to face.
