About the roles

Waltham Forest Council are introducing a service review and improvement capability to provide intensive support in areas where there are acute challenges, emerging ideas, the need for new evidence on impact, and where future trends can be explored.

Working within the corporate Change Delivery Team, these 12-month fixed term Service Improvement roles will help us to scope, structure and deliver a number of reviews into key service areas across all the council’s directorates and departments.

The roles will help the council:

  • manage current and future demand
  • harness technology and new ways of working
  • develop new operating models for services and the council overall

They will function as part of a durable team, working with project managers, insight & design managers, service designers, and business intelligence analysts as well as colleagues from finance, communications, digital and HR as appropriate.

About you

We want individuals with the drive to improve public services, who can use specialist skills, knowledge and understanding of service improvement within a public sector context.
