The Post
Due to promotion, we are looking for a committed and enthusiastic person to join our Electoral Services team.
The successful candidate will play a part in the preparation for, and conduct of, all elections and referendums. You will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the electoral register.
Brent is a large borough with approximately 233,000 registered electors and 130 polling stations. This year, we delivered very successful borough council elections, with staff demonstrating high levels of commitment, strong technical skills and collaboration.
Brent prides itself on its culture and the council is passionate about improving services, putting customers at its heart and supporting its staff. We offer a blend of remote and office based working. This is a politically restricted post.
The Person
To join the team you will need experience of working in an office environment, including data entry or administration as well as experience of working as part of a team. Have good attention to detail and have some knowledge of electoral law and the electoral process. Due to the nature of the job a willingness to work outside standard working hours during election and registration canvass periods.
