The Square Mile is the historic centre of London and is home to the ‘City’ – the financial and commercial heart of the UK. Our reach extends far beyond the Square Mile’s boundaries and across private, public, and charitable and community sector responsibilities. This, along with our independent and non-party political voice and convening power, enables us to promote the interests of people and organisations across London and the UK and lay a valued role on the word-stage.

In line with Central government commitments, the City of London has pledged to reduce and end rough sleeping in the Square Mile. Our Homelessness Prevention and Rough Sleeping Service helps support people in their homes, provides accurate and helpful guidance and, if necessary, acts to resolve rough sleeping. In support of this approach the City of London has developed a Pathway model utilising supported accommodation and specialist private rented sector partners.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to coordinate the Pathways element of the service.

The successful candidate will be experienced, confident and well organised. You will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), possess an unflappable approach to competing demands and have a proven track record leading or coordinating homelessness or rough sleeping sector services. The role is accountable for day-to-day coordination of the Pathways Team, including line management responsibilities, and monitoring an array of commissioned homelessness sector partners.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as part of the selection process the successful applicants will be required to obtain an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.

The closing date for applications will be midday on 28 June 2022

Interviews will be held on 6 July 2022. Format of interviews to be confirmed.
