About The Role
The Housing Development and Supply team has a proven track record and long-standing commitment to the delivery of affordable housing and is at the forefront of the new era of building new Council Housing. With an ambitious commitment to build 1,000 new Council homes by 2026 and a goal to bulk purchase an additional 1000 homes for Council housing. To support these targets, we now seeking candidates for the following new position set out below.
You will assist the Principal Development Manager and be responsible for delivering the 1000 new council home commitment. You will have experience in managing consultants and contractors and will work on a range of onsite projects. You will be responsible for line managing officers ensuring that they are delivering projects to meet targets for completion and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on delivery of the Councils 1000 home commitment
- Manage a team to deliver onsite projects
- Work within approved budgets
- Working in collaboration with other Council departments, and senior management to ensure that services are joined up and are delivered to meet the housing needs of the Borough.
- We are on track to delivering our goals.

- Ability to prioritise and manage workload to deadlines
- A ‘Can Do’ attitude
- Motivated and able to use own initiative
Professional Qualifications:
- RICS desirable but not essential
